ASP assignment :Discussion 4/27

We discussed about two topics.

1) "What should we do whne some people can't speak in group discussion?"
I think that we must not accuse a person who can't speak in group discussion.If we have someone to speak by force, they may tense. And in that situation, they can't think well and find creative idea. Therefore, we should not attack a person can't speak and we have to help them in order to speak or find some ideas.Forexample, asking question, thinking togeather or deriving their idea.

2)"50persent of population is women but tere are only 10 persent women in government.Why?”
In the first,everyone of our team members feal it's bad things and unfair.And, we think that's because there is little chance for women to be governer or it's a mater of thinking of pople. howevwe, suddenly,I think that, perhaps, there may be few women want to work in government because this work is proper for men. For example, in reverse,only few men work as teacher of kindergarden,nurse and cabinattendant.Therefore,Ithink that we have to get many information, find some evidence and think carefully in order to juge the fact.And it's bad thing that we juge by prejudice.

ASP assignment : Comment of video4/27

To compare two example(good discussion and bad discussion)can awake us to these things.
First of all,role of leader is very important in the discussion because contloling discussion , consistering chance to speak and diciding how to spread discussion are work of leader.And there is very important things in order to make discussion high-level.Second,members have to try understund other member's opinion.In bad discussion example, some people intruded their own opinion to othger people and other members can't explain their idea,moreover,partial person push through their opinion.So discussion couldn't develop at all.
In reverse, at good discussion example, all people strate idea and when one member speaks,other member hear silently.They try to understund and think more deeply.Final,discussion is not battle.

1, Good discussion and bad discussion.
Good: Talking a lot
Thinking the reason
Thinking "why"
Understunding other opinion clealy
Having criticul thinking to other opinion
Bad: Only some people speak(there are some people who is silent)
People always agree with other people(discussion can't be deep)
Not controled by leader
Member don't have any idea

2, Japan should begin to teach English from elementary school every day.
In our group, some people agree with this opinion and other people disagree with this opinion.
Agree: It is important thing that children are friends with English in childhood.
Children may be able to use English freely and happly in their childhood.
Becoming tame is very important for lerning English.
Disagree: Tere is no enough good teachers.So, chldren may be not able to be tought pronunciation rightry.
Elementary students have to study base of japanese before to study other language.
Elemantary students have to study base of other subject,for example math,system of society and
history.

3, In Japan,the age of consent /adulthood should be 18(or other age).
In our group, these opinion are discussed.
What is adult. : independence from firmily(economy or mentally)? working? liveing alone?
But, we can not deside only one age of adulthood by situation of people becouse situation is different
between people and people.
And we think that we can't understand what is adult before being adult.So, we may be able to begin thinking
about responsibility of adult by treating as adult.Therefor,we should decide the age of consent 20 becouse
in japan , now 20 is the age of consent and we have preparation to be adult in this age.

I chose this topic.

Group work is very helpful in developing other academic performance,because that discussion can develop idea, students can understand oun oppinion well by explaining and we can have motivation by other people.

Blog assignment 4/19

According to Mailand, a good college teacher present information in the following way.In general, good college teachers present some information , in the sense of "what is currently believed." And they spend much time talking about the basis on which this information is currently believed.
I agree with this opinion,but I think that student have to learn thinking of college. In college we have to think and exam what information is really truth myself.So,teacher in college,can teach only information it is said that generally truth, moreover they can't teach particular information. And students must reflect again it is rationally justified and can be rationally defended. I think college is the place where student learn how to thinking.Therefore, the most important thing is not how teacher present information but how students receive information. So, I don't object to Mailand's opinion,but it is requirement that students are understand reconsideration.
