ASP Assignment 6/11
We discussed about what tool should we take to desart island. And we discussde and deside 12 tool. We have to live in the island for long time, so I think that we shouldn't choose tool can be broken sosn or limited article, for example glass, food, medicine. Then, conclusion of our group and mine was we should choose tools which can create goods we need. Therefore, I think ax, knife and hammer should be needed and tool to stock the water is need to. And we need fire to cook, get light or avoid attack from animal, so match is necessary.

ARW Blog Assignment 6
The most useful approach to use in critically analyzing The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemmingway is Santiago as the Archetypal Hero. Hero destines to fight and old man fight with dolphin and shark too. And I think that gereraly, people expect hero having strong and mature mind. And hero is lonely because he always concern about other people and he doesn't care about himself. In the story of OMS, the old man never give up to fight with big fish, he didn't agree with people who made fun with him and he always postpone private profit to boy's happiness. These description show Santiago's character as a hero, so I think Santiago is written as a Archety Hero.

ASP Assignment: Comment 5/31
We learned how to make effective slide show for presentation in 5/12 ASP class. I was interested in the fact that picture make people remember for more long time than words or sentence. And when people hear the speech or presentation they change the words to image. Then, if we make the slide contain picture which can make image for content of the presentation, people can hear the speech with more clear image, and they can concentrate on the presentation because they don't have to change words to image. Then, slid contain too many word or too many information is not effective for presentation. Therefore slide should contain effective picture, and we students can make slides more effectively and more quickly by using technology.

ASP Assignment: Comments 5/28
We practiced presentation in today's ASP class. We are gived 10 minites for preparation,and then, we did a presentation to another 4 members about meiland in 5 minutes and afterthat, having a discussion in group in 5 minutes. I choosed "why we have to find good reasons" as a topic. I had no long time so I spend time to read the text and to think what to speak. If I made a note in detail for a presentation, I might read it ,so I made a very easy memo that it contain only three key wards of reasons about "why we have to find good reasons". Therefore I could do my presentation without looking note.

ASP Assignment: Comments 5/25
We learned how to presentation by using power point effectively. And we made the power point for presentation as a practice. I thought that impact is very important for good presentation. Big impact can make attentions and interests of audiences. So we have to make big impact. Using pictures or animations is effective technique in order to get attentions and to make understood ourselves. Not writing many words in a page of slide is also useful technique to make impact. Reading the slide is so bad so slide should show only outline of the topic.

ARW Blog Assignment5 OMS Question1
The main characters in Old Man and the Sea are Santiago, a fisherman and Manolin, a boy who helps him.
Three adjectives that describe Santiago are patient, mature and lonely. First of all, the old man never give up when he couldn't catch any fishies for a long time, and he didn't get anry many of the fishermen made fun of the old man(P11 of the text). So I think that he is patient man. Secondly, he is mature man because, he live and he is fisherman for a long time and he had many experiences. Besides he say "I may not be as strong as I think. But I know many tricks and I have resolition."(P23) I can guess that the old man is confident man as a fisherman, and he have tough mind by reading this sentence. From these reasons, he is mature fisherman and mature person. Finaly, he is lonly person. We can guess this from text.He may not have wife and boy loves and suport him but, the old maan understand that the boy is his father's. So, they are familiar, but the old man is lonly person in real because the boy is not his son.

He always worry about the old man and he always help him.for example, he help to bring tool of fishing, he give santiago some baits or he cook meal for santiago. So he is very kind boy. ASP assignment :Discussion 5/21
We talked about what should we do in order to good presentation. The three important things are content, structure, and delivery. And I lerned that presentation is some kinds of dialoge, so we must not merery read note. I thought through ASP class, the most important thing is trying to make ourselves understood. Technique, for example, eye contact are only tool in order to make good presentation. Then, we shouldn't worse about only tool. I think that the most important thing is how to tell what we want to say.

ASP Assignment: Discussion 5/11
We discussed about how to survive in desert.
I thought, first of all, staying the crash point is very important idea. People who deside walking to main course or town may be not able to survive because these points are too far to walk and we can't arrive there. We have only 1 liter water, then most important things is saving forth and keeping life by the time we are saved.
Our group focused apon keeping life and making sign in order to make rescue party notice. And our grup thought that keeping our life is most important things, so we first of all chose items can save the life for example, water or coat. Next, we chouse items that can make the sign for example, parachute, mirro and torch.

ASP assignment :Discussion 5/7
Discussion about who we save in accident.
In our group, some members can have critical thinking so realize that strong man can help to save other people and two children can be saved togeather because they are light and olympic swimer can swim for longtime. And our group discussed focus on which way can save many people then we think obout who can swim for long time and so on. We find that 1) wan may be storonger than woman so woman sohold be saved faster than man 2) very old people cannot swim for long time 3) alcoholic person may be panick and make trouble so he should be saved early in order to reduce risk for other people 4) model and TV actoress may slender and muscle of them may be weak. We decide the order baced on these four point.
I thought that what point should be preceded is very dificult and it is chengeble in every situation.

ASP assignment :Discussion 4/27
We discussed about two topics.
1) "What should we do whne some people can't speak in group discussion?"
I think that we must not accuse a person who can't speak in group discussion.If we have someone to speak by force, they may tense. And in that situation, they can't think well and find creative idea. Therefore, we should not attack a person can't speak and we have to help them in order to speak or find some ideas.Forexample, asking question, thinking togeather or deriving their idea.
2)"50persent of population is women but tere are only 10 persent women in government.Why?”
In the first,everyone of our team members feal it's bad things and unfair.And, we think that's because there is little chance for women to be governer or it's a mater of thinking of pople. howevwe, suddenly,I think that, perhaps, there may be few women want to work in government because this work is proper for men. For example, in reverse,only few men work as teacher of kindergarden,nurse and cabinattendant.Therefore,Ithink that we have to get many information, find some evidence and think carefully in order to juge the fact.And it's bad thing that we juge by prejudice.

ASP assignment : Comment of video4/27
To compare two example(good discussion and bad discussion)can awake us to these things.
First of all,role of leader is very important in the discussion because contloling discussion , consistering chance to speak and diciding how to spread discussion are work of leader.And there is very important things in order to make discussion high-level.Second,members have to try understund other member's opinion.In bad discussion example, some people intruded their own opinion to othger people and other members can't explain their idea,moreover,partial person push through their opinion.So discussion couldn't develop at all.
In reverse, at good discussion example, all people strate idea and when one member speaks,other member hear silently.They try to understund and think more deeply.Final,discussion is not battle.

In our group, some people agree with this opinion and other people disagree with this opinion.
Agree: It is important thing that children are friends with English in childhood.
Children may be able to use English freely and happly in their childhood.
Becoming tame is very important for lerning English.
Disagree: Tere is no enough good teachers.So, chldren may be not able to be tought pronunciation rightry.
Elementary students have to study base of japanese before to study other language.
Elemantary students have to study base of other subject,for example math,system of society and
history.
3, In Japan,the age of consent /adulthood should be 18(or other age).
In our group, these opinion are discussed.

But, we can not deside only one age of adulthood by situation of people becouse situation is different

about responsibility of adult by treating as adult.Therefor,we should decide the age of consent 20 becouse

According to Mailand, a good college teacher present information in the following way.In general, good college teachers present some information , in the sense of "what is currently believed." And they spend much time talking about the basis on which this information is currently believed.
I agree with this opinion,but I think that student have to learn thinking of college. In college we have to think and exam what information is really truth myself.So,teacher in college,can teach only information it is said that generally truth, moreover they can't teach particular information. And students must reflect again it is rationally justified and can be rationally defended. I think college is the place where student learn how to thinking.Therefore, the most important thing is not how teacher present information but how students receive information. So, I don't object to Mailand's opinion,but it is requirement that students are understand reconsideration.
